About K-9 OTC |
K-9 Obedience Training Club of Menomonee Falls (K-9 OTC) is an all-volunteer, non-profit, AKC-affiliated club devoted to the training of dogs. All breeds, including mixed breeds, are welcome. Whether you want to show your dog or get basic obedience training for the newest member of the family, K-9 OTC is the place for you. We encourage building a better relationship with your dog while using a balanced approach to training.
K-9 OTC is open to the public - stop in and see us sometime!
Here's a sample of what K-9 has to offer:
All levels of obedience classes from teaching the family pet to be a Canine Good Citizen through AKC competition classes
Agility classes (qualified regular club members only)
Obedience Run-Thrus on the 3rd and 5th Fridays of each month. No run-thrus in May (Agility Trial) or December (Christmas)
AKC Obedience and Agility trials
AKC "B" level match, Obedience fun matches, Canine Good Citizenship testing, and members-only achievement trials
The K-9 Healers, our group of therapy dogs and their handlers
Group events such as:
Halloween party
Awards Banquet
General Membership Meetings
Participation in the Milwaukee and Menomonee Falls Christmas Parades
The World of Dogs day at the WI State Fair
Canine demonstrations at local schools, nursing homes, and adult day-care facilities
Having undergone a renovation in 2003, our two 5000 square foot training buildings now have central air conditioning as well as heat. In addition, to reduce impact stress on the legs of our agility and advanced obedience dogs, the floors in both buildings are wall-to-wall Tenderfoot rubber floor matting. Lastly, a new PA system was installed.
