Obedience Classes |
K-9 OTC has a friendly instructing staff with a wide variety of experience and knowledge that enables our instructors to work with individual breeds and personality types. We offer many levels of obedience classes: Beginners 1 and 2, Novice 1 through 3, Show, Beginners and Advanced Open, Beginners and Advanced Utility, and UDX. Read below for a brief description of all our Obedience classes.
Most new members start in the Beginner 1 class. However, if you and your dog have had previous training, K-9's Director of Training can place you in the level that's right for you.

Class Information |
 |
Novice 1 class continues works on fine tuning what has been learned in the Beginners classes. Exercises become more challenging, requiring working through various distractions such as toys being squeaked and balls being thrown. Straight fronts and finishes and reliable, speedy recalls are emphasized. Students and dogs learn work together as a happy team.
Novice 2 class expects more from each student/dog team. Pieces of exercises practiced separately are now put together to form the AKC Obedience exercises. Teams begin to work off leash.
