Puppy classes provide owners with knowledge, skills and information to raise well-adjusted, confident, happy puppies who will mature to be the well socialized, obedient companions that are a source of constant joy.
K-9 O.T.C. offers a comprehensive course that will set the groundwork for a successful relationship between you, your family and your puppy!
For puppies 8-16 weeks old at the start of class. The cost for a 6-week session is $85. All breeds, including mixes, are welcome!
Classes are limited and will include:
Socialization/Puppy Play
Basic commands of Sit, Down, Stand, Come, Stay
Puppy Manners and Behavior
Housetraining
Bite inhibition
Basic care and feeding
Attention work
Effective Leadership
Both Basic Puppy Classes are participants in the newly formed AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program, which is open to both purebred and mixed breed puppies. Click here for more info. The Basic Puppy Class instructors will also present information on the program during the first class of each session.
Advanced is for puppies aged 4-6 months and runs for 8 weeks. The curriculum will be topic driven and relate to developmental and behavioral issues that occur during the 4-6 month puppy phase. Topics are varied and presented in depth every week. The cost is $100 for the 8-week session.

Continuation of skills learned in basic puppy class
Manners
Puppy issues
Relationship building

To register your puppy for the Basic or Advanced Puppy Class, please stop by the club on Thursday evenings (6-8:30pm) or Sunday mornings (9-11:30am), and please bring your puppy's vaccination record. The Membership Desk is in the building just north of the clubhouse. Feel free to or phone (262.252.3569) the club for information on class openings. Please remember that in-person, pre-registration is required for all puppy classes.
